If I could capture a sunny day
From the lovely month of May,
I'd chase the cobwebs from my room
and say goodbye to Winter's gloom.

If I could color Winter red,
A rose bouquet would be her bed.
I'd change the snow to emerald green
With yellow daffodils between.

If I could feel sweet springtime's kiss
Upon my cheek, it would be bliss.
But I must wait on Winter's wing,
For only God can bring the Spring.
